One person was killed and two others injured in a vehicle crash in Santa Ana early Sunday morning, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

First responders were sent to the scene about 2:20 a.m. and three people needing medical treatment, including one person trapped in the wreckage, officials said.
The other two victims were being hospitalized, authorities said.
Another person could be seen being driven away from the scene in a patrol vehicle, making it appear he or she was being taken into custody.
The two-vehicle collision was described by the Fire Authority as a "mass casualty incident" on Twitter.
